Representative Mike Collins of Georgia has expressed his support for the House Republicans' Continuing Resolution, which was recently passed. The resolution is designed to keep the federal government operational while advancing certain priorities.

In a statement, Rep. Collins emphasized the importance of this funding bill, stating: “Today, Congress took decisive action to keep our government running and advance the priorities of the American people by passing the Continuing Resolution (CR). This funding bill ensures the federal government stays operational, empowering ICE agents to continue to secure our borders, rooting out waste and fraud in federal spending, and honoring our commitments to taxpayers and veterans."

He further highlighted that this measure sets the stage for future legislative efforts between Congress and President Trump's administration. "The passage of this CR provides the runway for Congress and President Trump’s administration to build on these efforts, culminating in ‘one big, beautiful’ reconciliation bill in the coming months to deliver on his bold agenda," Collins noted.

Collins also called for unity among lawmakers to enact reforms focused on American citizens. "Now, we must stay united to enact bold reforms that put the American people first," he stated.

Expressing pride in supporting the resolution, Collins concluded: "I am proud to have answered President Trump’s call to support this CR with a ‘yes’ vote. It’s a win for common-sense governance and a step closer to Making America Great Again.”
