24 Hispanic students enrolled in Randolph County schools during 2022-23 school year

There were 24 Hispanic students enrolled in Randolph County school in the 2022-23 school year, 25% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Randolph County welcomed 1,101 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 2.2% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the four schools in Randolph County, Southwest Georgia S.T.E.M. Charter Academy recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 22 students.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
