How many African American students were enrolled in Seminole County school district in 2022-23 school year?

There were 520 African American students enrolled in Seminole County school district in the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% less than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Seminole County school district welcomed 1,270 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 40.9% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county's school district.

This is the only school district located within Seminole County, with its main office in Donalsonville.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 16:1. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
