705 students enrolled in Miller County schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 705 students enrolled in Miller County schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.1% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Girls made up 50.7% of the county's student body, while the other 49.3% were boys.

Data also showed that white students made up 47.7% of the student body, the largest percentage in Miller County schools, followed by African American students with 43%, 4.5% Hispanic students, 3.1% multiracial students and 0.6% Asian students.

Miller County Elementary School stood out with the highest enrollment among Miller County's three schools in the 2022-23 cycle, welcoming 302 students.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
