Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde announced his committee assignments for the 119th Congress. Rep. Clyde will serve on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee.
On the House Appropriations Committee, he will be part of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies as well as the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies.
Clyde expressed enthusiasm about his roles: “In addition to returning to the House Appropriations Committee, I’m excited to be joining the House Budget Committee this Congress,” said Clyde. He emphasized concerns over national debt and deficit spending as major threats to national security and prosperity. “With President Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress at the helm, we have a critical opportunity to restore fiscal sanity in our nation’s capital," he stated. "I look forward to working on budget reconciliation and each of the twelve appropriations bills to achieve this goal, firmly focused on delivering on President Trump’s agenda, championing fiscal restraint, and rescuing America.”
Rep. Clyde is noted for his background as a small business owner and former Navy supply and logistics officer. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Georgia.
