FOIA Request Sent to Grady County Election Department Regarding Ballot Counting Methods on October 29, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Grady County Election Department on October 29, 2024. The request was made by SW Georgia News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The FOIA request specifically asked for a list of methods the Grady County Election Department is using to count votes in the upcoming election. If the counting process is manual, SW Georgia News also requested an estimated number of people who will be working on election night.
