In a losing struggle against an extremely talented Central Georgia Tech College (CGTC) men's basketball team in the Jinks Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, Andrew College Head Coach Rachard Lofton gathered his team in a 30 second timeout, midway through the 1st half, and proceeded to express his extreme displeasure with their effort, especially on the defensive end. Rather loudly. The Tigers answered with a withering defensive effort, that only began to show results in the final minutes, while keeping the Tigers within a 3-5 point defict. With 1:20 remaining, Elliott Yorke Jr., playing on a severally strained left ankle, buried a long three to tie the game at 65, finally erasing a game-long deficit. After a pair of free throws from game-high scorer Ricky Clark, CGTC responded with a layup to knot the score at 67. Demarco Bethea, Monday night game winner over New Rock Prep with a pair of free throws, stepped to the line with :07 left, made the first, and missed the second, where CGTC dribbled to half court and called a timeout with :04 left. After getting the ball in, CGTC could not get a shot off, giving Andrew the 68-67 win, their third in a row since returning from the Christmas break. Andrew's overall record stands at 11-5 overall and 2-0 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA).

Clark poured in 25 points from all levels, keeping the Tigers afloat with big bucket after big bucket, while adding 4 rebounds, 4 assists, a pair of steals and 3 blocks, Sebian Tate personified the defensive effort after the tongue lashing, forcing multiple turnovers, adding 4 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 10 points, Bethea picked up his seventh double-double of the season, adding 14 points and 11 rebounds, Samuel McCloud came off the bench to score 8 points, while adding 3 steals, and Yorke Jr had 5 rebounds and 4 assists to go along with his 7 points.

The Tigers travel to Rome, GA to take on Georgia Highlands next Thursday the 19th. Tip off is 7:00 pm.
