Carlos Curry collected 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Georgia Southern made a season-high 10 3-pointers on its way to a 91-47 men's basketball victory over Piedmont Wednesday night in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Curry made every shot he took in the contest, going 8 for 8 from the field and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. Tyren Moore made four triples and finished with a season-high 14 points. Andrei Savrasov collected 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Tai Strickland scored 10.
Key Moments
Strickland scored five points, and Curry netted four in a 13-3 spurt as the Eagles (5-4) led 17-6 4:16 into the contest. Georgia Southern began the game by making seven of its first 11 shots while holding Piedmont to 3 of 12 at the other end.
Brown and Curry each scored four points in a 17-5 run that pushed a nine-point cushion to 38-17, GS's largest of the period, with 5:11 left in the first half, and the Eagles held a 42-26 advantage at the break. GS blew the game open in the second half as three of Moore's triples came in a 30-4 run that pushed the margin to 42 points with 6:45 to play.
Stats and Notes
- It was the second double-double for Curry this season and the second time he has made all of his field goal attempts (8 for 8 vs. Western Michigan Nov. 20). He is the first Eagle to make every shot he took in a game since Savrasov went 5 for 5 from the field at Troy Feb. 6, 2021.
- It was the second double-double for Savrasov this season and the first time two Eagles have recorded double-doubles in a game since March 9, 2019, when Montae Glenn (11 pts, 10 reb) and Isaiah Crawley (19 pts, 10 reb) accomplished the feat against Georgia State in Hanner Fieldhouse.
- The Eagles held Piedmont to 28 percent shooting while making 51 percent of their field goal attempts.
- GS has won its last 27 games when shooting 50 percent or better from the field.
