Calling All Survivors – Archbold Seeking Models for 2022 Pink Affair

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women other than skin cancer. It’s the second-leading cause of cancer death, and about one in eight women will develop the disease in their lifetime. The disease consistently remains one of the most common cancers treated at Archbold’s Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center.

On Thursday, October 27, 2022, Archbold’s Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center will host the ninth annual Pink Affair, a benefit fashion show featuring local cancer survivors. Cancer survivors will model clothing from local stores and a celebration honoring the models will follow the fashion show with food and live music. The presenting sponsor for the event is Thomasville Toyota and Thomasville Ford. Proceeds from the event will help cover the cost of post-surgical supplies for patients.

“The Pink Affair is an event our cancer survivors look forward to every year and we’re so glad it’s back after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic,” said Debbie Beeson, patient navigator at the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center. “The event is a great way to celebrate our cancer survivors. We highly encourage any cancer survivor in our community, regardless of the type of cancer, to participate as a Pink Affair model.”

If you or someone you know is a cancer survivor and interested in modeling for the Pink Affair, visit www.archbold.org/pinkaffair for more information, or call Debbie Beeson at 229.403.9016.

Tickets for the event will be available for purchase beginning October 1, 2022.

Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are also available for the Pink Affair. For more information on sponsorships, contact the Archbold Foundation at 229.228.2924.
