Camilla officials announced the city will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” April 23-30. The city will hold a variety of events throughout the week, including an essay contest, art exhibit, and ice pops with Public Safety. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Connecting For Success.”
“Camilla is a full-service city, and every day we look forward to providing the very best for our citizens and visitors,” Said Mayor Kelvin Owens. “Georgia Cities Week is an excellent opportunity to highlight our community projects, connect with residents, and share valuable information about our services.”
Events planned for the week are:
Saturday, April 23, 9am-11am, Clean Camilla
Monday, April 25, 10am, Proclamation Day at City Hall
Tuesday, April 26, 5pm, Art Exhibit at FRAC
Wednesday, April 27th, If I Were Mayor, I Would Essay Contest Winners Announced
Thursday, April 28th, 3pm-5pm, Ice Pops at Public Safety Complex
Cities across Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many services they provide. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and consulting services to its 538 member cities.
