Current visitation guidelines effective as of March 22, 2022

28

Due to the significant decrease in COVID cases in our community, all restrictions on visiting or accompanying patients at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Candler Hospital, Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion, Pooler Campus and Bluffton Campus have been lifted.

However, children under the age of 12 are not allowed unless they are the patient. Visitor exceptions for children may be made under special circumstances, and you should consult the unit you wish to visit.

All visitors and co-workers will still be required to wear masks when inside the hospitals or other St. Joseph's/Candler facilities at all times.

Visiting hours for the hospitals are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As always, to protect our patients and our co-workers, we will continue to remind visitors that if they are actively sick or have flu-like symptoms, they should not visit patients in our hospitals.

We are constantly monitoring the spread of the COVID virus and visitation restrictions could be put back in place in the future if we begin to see another increase in our community.

St. Joseph’s/Candler’s top priority is to protect our patients and co-workers. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the health system has enhanced or modified its visitor restrictions as part of its plan to treat both COVID-19 patients and acute care patients — safely.
