Archbold Names Vezina Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety

Grady General Hospital issued the following announcement on March 4

Archbold recently named Emily Vezina, MSN, RN, CPPS, as Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety for the health system.

Vezina has over 15 years of healthcare experience, including direct patient care as a critical care nurse and nearly eight years in hospital leadership roles. Vezina comes to Archbold from Kaleida Health-Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital/DeGraff Medical Park in Buffalo, New York, where she served as Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer.

“The Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety is a new addition to Archbold’s leadership team,” said Darcy Craven, Archbold president and CEO. “This new addition will allow us to enhance our focus on providing high quality, patient-focused healthcare to the patients in our region.”

Vezina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in women’s studies, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a Master’s of Science degree in nursing leadership all from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

“Emily’s extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in both clinical operations and quality improvement will be very valuable for Archbold,” added Craven.

“I’m excited about this opportunity,” said Vezina. “I look forward to working with such a great team and organization and helping to continue Archbold’s legacy of providing patients with the very best care.”
