Archbold Northside Center Opens Center for Change Outpatient Clinic

27

Grady General Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 20

Archbold Northside Center for Behavioral Health and Psychiatric Care has opened a new Center for Change Outpatient Clinic in Thomasville. The psychiatric clinic aims to provide patients therapy services that do not require a prolonged stay at the facility. A dedicated team of mental health professionals will assess and provide an individual treatment plan to help patients cope with stressors and manage their mental health.

Conditions treated include depression, bipolar disorder, dementia with behavioral disturbance, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder and postpartum depression. The clinic also assists people experiencing paranoia, delusions and psychotic symptoms, as well as grief and sleep interruptions. Outpatient services include psychotropic medication assessment, medication management and diagnostic questioning.

“I think this clinic is a way to provide sort of a safety net, that mental health support to the individuals that are out there struggling a lot of times in silence or alone,” said Archbold Northside Medical Director and Psychiatrist Eugene Sun, MD. “This clinic will help fill that void in the community to provide long-term solutions to mental health stressors.”
