Agnes Scott College Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 31
The Agnes Scott College basketball team yielded an 84-19 decision to host Berry College in a non-conference game Friday afternoon at the Cage Center.
The win improves the Vikings to 7-5 overall while the Scotties of Agnes Scott College move to 0-11 on the season.
Both teams started the contest battling for the lead with closing out the first quarter in a 10-10 tie. Host Berry College then established control of the game by outscoring Agnes Scott 20-6 in the second period. The Vikings took a 40-16 lead at the half. The Scotties was then held to just three points the entire second half with Berry taking the 84-19 victory.
Lindsay Moore led the Scotties with securing seven points and one rebound. Erika McLeod and Shar Sweat collected eight (8) boards each in the contest. Sweat also collected two assists.
The Scotties of Agnes Scott will return to action on Friday, January 7th as they travel to Maryville, Tennessee for a conference match-up against Maryville College. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m
