COUNTY OF GRADY: AD for Bids: FY 21 OSS LMIG

County of Grady issued the following announcement on July 16

Sealed Bids: Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 21 OSS LMIG will be received, by Grady County Board of Commissioners, at the Grady County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 33 17th Avenue NW, Cairo, GA 39827, until 2:00 P.M., Thursday August 19, 2021 local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days

Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements.

Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Grady County - FY 21 OSS LMIG as described in the Contract Documents and Specifications. In general, construction consists of resurfacing and striping of approximately 29.23 miles of roadway and all associated measures for the complete project. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 180-consecutive calendar day construction schedule.

Plans and Bidding Documents: Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 103 West 6th Street, Tifton, Georgia 31794, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Grady County Board of Commissioners, located at Grady County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 33 17th Avenue NW, Cairo, GA 39827 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Engineer. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Office of the Engineer.

Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing.

Funding: Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids will be funded by a grant from the Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG).

The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
